Dear all, it's a pleasure to introduce the story between USATU and me. I am DONG YUECHENG from China, I didn't knew the city of Ufa before I was 25 years old until I met my scientific supervisor Prof. I. V. Alexandrov, who is really famous in China and even the world as a nanomaterials scientist. In 2009, I applied the scholarship from Chinese Scholarship Committee successfully and pursued my Ph.D degree under the supervisor of Prof. I.V. Alexandrov in USATU. At that time, I didn't know even a single Russian word, so it was tough in the beginning. Fortunately, I overcame all the difficulties with the help of many friends. In 2013, I defended my Ph.D thesis successfully, It was the happiest moment of my life. Now, I am a teacher of Nanjing Tech University in China. There has been a lot of cooperation between the two universities, such as students exchange, joint laboratory, international project and international conference. In 2022, I was granted the Honorary Doctor of USATU, it means a lot for me, especially in this special time, which the name of USATU became a history. It is the end, but also a beginning. because a new university UUST was established, it will be bigger and stronger. Now, I was invited to work one year here as a senior researcher, I think a new story is beginning.

I am Leocent BANGA-NGUIE, a second-year Master's student in technical operation of aircraft and engines at the Ufa University of Science and Technology.
Leaving far from home in order to get trained in the aeronautical field thanks to a Congo-Russia cooperation scholarship in the University of Science and Technology of Ufa is one of the greatest experiences of my life because it not only allowed me to learn the language, but also the history of Russia, Ufa and the great cultural diversity of the different peoples which is nothing but a wealth since "*Our difference demonstrates how much we need each other to complement each other without trying to dominate".
I had a lot of opportunities to exchange with young leaders, politicians, sportsmen, artists ... thanks to the activities and forums I took part in in different cities of Russia.
I have repeatedly benefited scholarship increases of up to 17,000 rubles per month based on my academic results and achievements. As Aimé Césaire said: no people has the monopoly on intelligence, strength and beauty, we launched a first office for African students at the university of which I was the President. Our association had the objective of providing our support to the university, to accompany others who will find themselves in difficulties, to propose solutions to problems we usually go through as foreigners. A study committee based on skills was formed with the aim of accompanying students in earlier years to understand certain basic subjects.

My name is Abuayyash Adham and I am a 3rd year PhD student in the Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials program.
If someone had asked me 6 years ago how I imagine my next few years, I could not even imagine that I would someday end up in Russia, study in graduate school and prepare for the defense of my PhD thesis. The decision to enroll in Russia came unexpectedly, after an announcement was made at the university where I studied that Russia was announcing the selection of foreign students for the Ministry's quota, and I decided to try my hand. I did not expect that I would pass the selection, because there were a lot of applicants. But a few weeks later I received a message that I had passed the selection and was asked to choose a university. After searching for information about the universities of the Russian Federation, I decided to choose Ufa State Aviation Technical University (USATU) and never regretted it. The university has a good reputation and it is included in international ratings, among teachers, professors, known in other countries, who have made a significant contribution to the development of science.
At USATU, I studied at the preparatory department, then successfully graduated my master's degree. After graduating, I entered graduate school in Moscow, but the field of research at that university was different from the one I was interested in, and it was critically important for me to continue my research, I decided to transfer back to Ufa. The university was also interested in continuing my research, so I chose USATU without hesitation for my further studies. The university provided a laboratory for experiments and the necessary materials, and the laboratory is currently actively working, colleagues from my department support me in my research, we exchange experience and knowledge with them, and are looking for new approaches to research.
